Organic Buckwheat Hull Mattress Topper

The covers are made with Osnaburg Natural 100% cotton and have no openings. I top-stitch all four edges of the pads to ensure they last a long time. Then I fill with 100% organic hulls from a mill in the USA. Buckwheat hulls have been used for meditation and sitting pillows for years. The hulls are very supportive and I don’t scrimp on the amount of hulls in my pads, but I don’t over-stuff to the point of stressing the seams. As your pads age, the hulls will become shiny and pliable. They won’t mold unless exposed directly to water. I don’t care what my competitors are saying, I let the quality of my pads speak for themselves.

Care – Do not wash, spot clean only.

  1. I was also wondering if the cotton is a knit and so gives a little. I was concerned by a friend of mine who purchased a pillow that didn’t and she thought it was hard. And the four pieces can you attach them together so they don’ t leave gaps or holes?

  2. The cotton is not a knit, but is very soft. If you like I could send you a swatch. As for connecting the four pieces; I’ve tried many different ways but it makes the pad extremely hard to handle (over 40 lbs). The pads I use on my bed are held down by putting a fitted sheet over them. Doing this I’ve had very little movement that would created gaps or holes. Sorry but that is the best I can do.

    Thanks,
    Mary
