Patchwork 60’S Style Velvet Jacket (from the film “Pirate Radio”)

Project description – The client (ZT) wanted a replica of the velvet patchwork jacket worn in the wedding scene in the film “Pirate Radio.” This was a challenging project and took almost 7 months for me to complete. All the patches were cut and hand sewn to make the main pattern pieces. Then the pieces were hand sewn together and the lining was added. The final touches were to hand stitch all edges and hand sew the button holes.

Clients review;

“Working with Mary was an absolute pleasure. She made sure to constantly keep me updated on what was going on, what my options were, and how far she had progressed. The final product (in my case, a custom patchwork velvet jacket) was WAY beyond what I expected, quality-wise. Really the only issue was being told it would originally take around two months and it actually took closer to eight. Given, she had situations arise that excused it, but it was just worth noting. Nonetheless, one of the better experiences on CustomMade, without a doubt!”
